️⃣ Plan ahead. Know you are in control. You can check out the menu ahead of time but learn to make the choice in the moment. The more times you put yourself in front of quick decisions the stronger you will be at making healthy choices.
️⃣ Always include a protein and veggie. This will help you stay full longer and help you hit your protein and fiber goals. Protein aids in muscle growth and fiber can help with weight maintenance and weight loss.
️⃣ Get dips and sauces on the side. Most of these are very high in calories and having it on the side make it easier to control how much goes into your food and makes it easier to track.
️⃣ Plan for higher carbs and fats. Plan your day around a higher fat and carb meal. Reduce fats and carbs for other meals to allow for more wiggle room while out to eat. Most restaurants add butters and oils to the food to make it taste better. This can increase the calories of your meals out compared if you made it at home.
️⃣ Practice checks and balances. Keep the burger skip the fries and have a side salad or skip the drink and have the bread. IT’s your choice. Make it worth and pick items that are your must have’s and leave those that you don’t need.
